"The days of neglecting our soldiers are coming to an end."- Angela Alegna
Press Release:  America Helping Heroes Announces Official Launch Date
America Helping Heroes, the organization of author/musician Angela Alegna, today announced the official launch of its community chapters will take place on July 4th.  Communities across America will begin taking the necessary steps to prevent a host of unnecessary problems that many returning soldiers face.

Chapters are currently springing up all over the country with caring volunteers on a mission to change the course of this generation of Veterans.

"There are three things our soldiers need when they come home.  Community involvement, community respect, and community gratitude.  Just a simple acknowledgment of the sacrifice and tremendous risk involved," says Angela.  "These elements will go a long way to prevent the unnecessary suffering that many soldiers endure.  Prevention is the key to saving this generation of soldiers."

Once Angela Alegna became aware that there are 200,000 homeless Veterans still living on the streets from previous wars -- she was inspired and determined -- with the help of the community--- to make the days of neglecting our soldiers a thing of the past.

"The community attitude makes or breaks a soldier's life following war,"  Angela says.  "Look at our Vietnam Vets -- if the community had treated them with respect and compassion instead of shunning them ... If they had helped with the transition to life at home and the healing process ... If anticipation and preparation had been in place --- then we wouldn't have lost so many promising young patriots to the alleys of this nation."

This summer will see Angela traveling all over America both visiting and manning up more America Helping Heroes community chapters.

"Now is the time to get involved to save this generation of soldiers," Angela says. "Regardless of your political views you would have to agree we need our military.  Therefore we have a moral obligation to take care of our soldiers when they come home."
