America Helping Heroes is the only soldier-focused organization of its kind. It is a non-profit organization that is collaborating with communities across America to end the unnecessary suffering facing our returning troops as they return to life at home -- after life at war.
America Helping Heroes goes an mile beyond being an organization. It is a national movement that encourages each community across America to embrace and take care of its returning troops and circumvent problems before they turn into full blown crisis.
MISSION
The mission of America Helping Heroes is to ensure that no returning soldiers and their families are neglected, forgotten, and left to deal with the aftermath of war -- alone.
AIMS
With the effort and support of each community -- problems are resolved before they have a chance to take hold.
Homelessness, unemployment, psychological fallout, and unnecessary physical suffering among returning soldiers are a direct result of neglect. With the involvement of the community, the problems of our returning combat troops do not have a chance to fester into broken lives of stigma and humiliation.
Change the collective thought.
With so much focus on pro-war and anti-war, republican vs Democrat -- we have to be cautious that we do not forget those who actually have to carry out the war. By protecting our soldiers from the inevitable dangers of life after war -- we are moving forward and progressing instead of living in the residue of war.
Since Vietnam, we have placed our frustrations of war on the soldiers themselves. We have to hold the right people accountable and see our soldiers as courageous young men and women who loved their country enough to be a soldier in the first place.
Change the parts of the system that fail to provide a better and more stable homecoming.
America Helping Heroes will work to fill in the cracks to protect this generation of soldiers ... and future generations.
