Angela Alegna, Founder
Dear Fellow Patriot:

As a country we have put a man on the moon, made huge technological advances, and given the gift of freedom, but we have yet to implement a supportive, effective system of postwar care for our veterans.

With the devastating rate of suicide and homelessness among veterans, we must work together to STOP the unnecessary suffering of today's heroes and those to follow.

Life after war is not easy for obvious reasons, but there is no need to complicate the transitional process with a convoluted system and the lack of community involvement. Our heroes need a proper bridge to cross with full support.

Together we can build the bridge that will afford combat veterans every opportunity to heal and experience the American Dream they have sacrificed so much to preserve.

Angela Alegna founded America Helping Heroes in 2008 as an organization dedicated to the well-being of Iraq and Afghanistan Combat Veterans. Over the years, Angela became aware that most of the challenges stemmed from a flawed system, and realized that with common sense adjustments the system could be fixed to serve instead of hinder.

The
MISSION of America Helping Heroes is to build the bridge from war to home. A prepared system can make life after war a fulfilling experience for our brave men and women as opposed to a hit and miss journey where some flourish and some perish.
